Lexus Announces High Performance CT

When it comes to the hybrid hatch, Lexus has announced that it is going to receive an important boost in power.
Recently a photo with the refreshed 2014 Lexus CT200h appeared and it managed to impress everybody.

Immediately new topics started and everybody wonders if the carmaker plants to expand the lineup of its popular hatch with a non-hybrid variant and a sedan. Another possibility is a high performance model. No matter what they plan to reveal, everybody is thrilled and they cannot wait to see new projects from this incredible carmaker.

Apparently one of Lexus’ senior global executive hinted that their new car is going to be a more powerful one and that their goal is to create something elegant, stylish and extremely powerful in the same time.

Taking into consideration the fact that their hatch has a decent reputation because of its incredible suspension set up and handling, if you add another powertrain option then a lot more units can be shifted. The car seems even more impressive and it has some huge chances to become very popular.

According to Mark Templin, the International Executive Vice President at Lexus, a lot of people loved the aspect of the car and they enjoyed the way it drove but they wanted something faster. This is how they missed the segment of the market that wants fast cars.

As we say, they do not plan on repeating the same mistake over and over again and this time they want to do it right. A good looking, easy to drive and fast car is exactly what they intent to release and this is definitely a combination that can please even the most demanding driver.

Lexus is the first carmaker that managed to create a luxury hybrid model by launching the CT exclusively with the drivetrain. Now they have two different possibilities: they can either add a larger gasoline electric hybrid, or they can even add a new 2.0 liter turbo that is going to be released in the LF-NX concept this month, in Tokyo.

We cannot wait to see what they have in mind and how the final vehicle is going to look like, but mostly, which are going to be its characteristics. Lexus is an important company and they never disappointed their loyal customers. We are sure that this is not going to be an exception and that their new car is going to be a pretty impressive one.
